My old desert boots

By 12th August 2008December 9th, 2019No Comments

I still wear my boots,
The suede outer worn with sand and sun,
The soles worn,fabric stained sides,
The miles they have covered,
The sites they have witnessed,
My boots provided me comfort,
My boots are my own,
My boots are still my contact, with my past,
My boots now carry me along different streets,
But wearing them i still feel the comfort,
I still feel the strange sense of security they provide,
Maybe one day when i am gone, you will come across those worn old boots,
The soles worn,fabric stained sides,
But they will still be my boots, and hold my memories…..
