MOTHER’S DAY MEMORIES

By 12th March 2012December 9th, 2019No Comments

I look back to when I was younger
To the time I hadn’t a care
Who was it kept me from crying
Who held me and showed she was there

Who was it that waved at the station
And hid the tears in her eyes
Smiling and saying “Bon voyage”
And knowing I hated goodbyes

When I came back from my travels
With troubles, more than a few
Whose arms were waiting to greet me
Why mother, of course it was you

So on this day I’ll remember
How all through my life you were there
Making my life even better
With love, understanding and care
