“Bonjour Madame, Monsieur, Bienvenue!”
De À la Carte or plat du jour to choose
‘Ave we prepared a tableau set for two
Pray un apéritif, we ‘ave no booze
Une entrée just for starters, try ‘foie gras’
Acceptable to French, perhaps Anglais
Acquired taste that some may find bizarre
If non, skip to dessert and try ‘sorbet’
I see ok (au fait) with cordon-bleu
Puis taste Cuisine de regionale, Lorraine
Discriminating palettes pour compare
Where quiche is often claimed as their domain
A dish of Lamb ‘Navrin’ wouldst n’er compete
With Sir’s exquisite taste, Bon appétit !
