Marked Innocence

Whilst all about declare uncertain times
Mine heart knows only what blind faith holds true
As evil strikes with e’er more heinous crimes
By testing will and fortitude anew
All innocents deprived of mortal coil
Have hastened to the care of whence they came
No time wouldst spend reclining ‘neath the soil
Nor binds exist to fasten earthly frame
Such grief we feel belongs to us alone
In witnessing an act performed by Man
Accepting as God’s will we doth condone
Yet He couldst never countenance said plan
Hath we the wherewithal inside to act
Denying of ourselves this Devil’s pact
