Life’s Journey

Loyal son, and brother, a good friend too
We feel such pain at losing you.
Yours, was the ultimate human cost
What could console us for your loss?
Your death would stain the soil with blood
Our eyes have wept with tears of love…
Such happy memories we have known
Of one, who died so far from home.
‘Rest, now, at peace our precious son
Your journey through this life is done.
Within this earth -one sleeps at rest
Whose name’s forever on our breaths.’
