LIFE

My brother and I,

Taking off our shoes we run across the lawn breaking cobwebs of dew,
Green shoots, with hearts of hope!
Mothers smiles and all is well at the beginning of another summers day,
It seems as if all the birds in the world are singing in our garden!
We hear baby cry and Mother turns away ,
Cares are far far away as we start to play!
“Look John there’s Grandma and Grandpa,”we stand and watch them for a while,

Time is standing still everything seems to be going backwards,.
Next time we look they’re dancing whirling around each other like young lovers.
We see ourselves as two small specks of light hovering above the apple tree
The branches sway gently in the breeze and the shimmering leaves shelter the family
