“Into the Light” (Once more)

by | Jul 29, 2013 | Poetry | 0 comments

I hold you in my heart, midst fight for life
When all about seems dark bereft of light
Just where to turn for refuge from such strife
Appears to be as ever, out of sight
“Pray lean on me” that I may dab your tears
What strength I have ‘tis yours if thou should need
When sadness calls assaulting of one’s ears
Our Lord provides the ‘Balm’ as from ‘Gilead’
“Engage with life in all its forms” (For thee)
Exemplify the Spirit’s gifts He gave
No-one in truth can know for sure (Not me)
Just what the future holds, perchance to save
This day is one of many yet to come
If we can keep the Faith; to not succumb
