In Winter Chill

It’s cold outside, the winters here
It’s always cold this time of year.
We stand outside as winter blows
in silence next to white stone rows.

So many people come here too
All come to show we remember you.
Our fallen warriors, heroes all
Whose names are etched upon the wall.

You were the warriors young and brave
Who fought the fight, your lives you gave.
Our friends, our brothers, fathers, sons
Who fell amongst the noise of guns.

We will remember in winter chill
As we have promised, we always will.
To remember our fallen, our nations pride
To remember heroes who sleep side by side.
