In Whose Honour…

By 22nd August 2012December 9th, 2019No Comments

Free from all pain and sorrow now
The willows in your honour bow.
We choose a path, we onward go
And what awaits us who can know?
At peace, now, in eternal sleep
Of glory poets will ever speak…
The breath of Autumn warms the air
That gift of life, you too, once shared
And we who greet another day
Our debt to you we’ll ever pay.
You gave your precious blood for us
And earned our gratitude and love.
