I’m not going crazy… Honest

Just because I want to break down in tears
When someone mentions my son
Just because I worry so much
When I say where my soldier has gone
I’m not going crazy… Honest

I’m not going crazy, honest… I’m not
I’ve just left my soldier son
I’m not going crazy, honest… I’m not
It’s just normal, I’m his mum

Just because my mind wanders
When I find myself alone
Just because I panic so much
When I cannot find my phone
I’m not going crazy… Honest

I’m not going crazy, honest… I’m not
I’m just so proud of my soldier son
I’m not going crazy, honest… I’m not
It’s just normal, I’m his mum

Just because I fly off the handle
For what seems like no reason at all
Just because I sit by the phone
Waiting for ‘that call’
I’m not going crazy… Honest

I’m not going crazy, honest… I’m not
I just love my soldier son
I’m not going crazy, honest… I’m not
It’s just normal, I’m his mum

Just because I have sleepless nights
Even though I go early to bed
Just because I can’t concentrate
From the thoughts running round in my head
I’m not going crazy… Honest

I’m not going crazy, honest… I’m not
I just miss my soldier son
I’m not going crazy, honest… I’m not
It’s just normal, I’m his mum
