If The World Seems Cold To You

To fan the flames within each temp’rate heart
May prove to be beyond the scope of Man
So insular our lives (when lived apart)
Have long since been bereft of caring plan
Where once each neighbour added to our day
With oft’ familiar greetings and warm smile
Tis loneliness (in truth) which now holds sway
As we forsake ‘the group’ for single file
How could our world retreat behind closed doors
Communication kept at said ‘arms length’
No friendly face, nor hoped for common cause
To rally ‘round in numbers (twas our strength)
Such times of “all for one and one for all”
Tho past, may yet rekindle thru recall
