I am the Child

I am the child who sits all day, looking out of the window in dismay.
I am the child who rarely sleeps, waiting for morning when in it creeps.
I am the child who loves all things red, my clothes, walls, even my bed.
I am the child who has to categorize, my red shiny trains each by size.

I am the child who doesn’t feel pain, or feel cold, dancing in the rain.
I am the child who won’t be told, is scared of hugs or being hold.
I am the child who is content, while hiding away under my tent.
I am the child who wants to learn, but cant figure out when it’s my turn.

I am the child who gets it wrong, not my choice, it’s a jumbled up song.
I am the child who struggles with clatter, can’t block it out, that’s the matter.
I am the child who has a good day, when an Aston Martin comes my way.
I am the child if I see two, it’s a super good day, then back flips I’d do.

I am the child who knows wrong from right, uses manners and always polite.
I am the child you can not embarrass, even if you’re, of the most callous.
I am the child who twitches and stammers; it’s this in life, most of all hampers.
I am the child if you took the time, would become a truly good friend of mine.

I am the child with no sense of danger, approach anyone even a stranger.
I am the child with no road sense, which makes mums face go really tense
I am the child surrounded by love & joy, at home I feel a very blessed boy.
I am the child, who loves to eat biscuit………… I am the child that’s told is autistic.
