I AM NOT TO BLAME

I am just a bullet
Fire me from a gun
I don’t have a preference
I hurt anyone

Lying on the dark earth
Bodies smashed in two
Twisted faces showing
Just what I can do

Not my place to worry
Who should live or die
All I ever long for
Is the chance to fly

Let me find your target
Kill or even maim
The deed will never matter
I won’t take the blame

Caress me in your fingers
Slide me in the breech
Then pick out your target
Hear the victim screech

Yes I am a bullet
Made to kill and maim
I don’t care who ”gets it”
I am not to blame
