HALLOWEEN PARTY

by | Oct 15, 2007 | Poetry | 0 comments

Flickering shadows dance in shafts of moonlight,

Their music screeching winds, and hooting Owls.

Castle ruins crumbling walls, and gaping windows,

The stage where past Spectres play

Their Halloween party games of old,

Their cackling laughter, screams of terror

Echoing from their empty skulls, and unfleshed bones.

Another stone falls from crumbling walls.

The moon breaks through,

Lights up the stage, Ghosts and Ghouls

Sneak back into their hidden places.
