Growing Old

Growing old is very hard I,ve been told,
I never wanted this ticket I got sold
But I bought the ticket anyway
So I,m here centre stage part of the Play

I try to Play my part right in everyway
But some People you can,t reach no matter what you say
I,ve seen good MEN do BAD and BAD MEN do good
This is something I never understood

I watched my Father as he gave his dying breath that night
And a few years later with my mother it was not a pretty sight
I face These things daily with my wife
I cannot Change this part of my life

So those that are Young beware
It don,t matter how you care
I,m nearly certain so I,ve been told
Before a man dies he sometimes gets OLD
