Folly

What makes men do what they do
Shatter lives that seemed so perfect
Disrupt the lines of existence
Hurt those that had there respect

Why do they create antagonism
Where only peace once reigned
Kill wives,brothers,children
Mouth platitudes-all feigned

This world could be so perfect
No need for fear or hate
But wars begin and killing starts
No time for just debate

There will come a time of hope
And reflection of the past
Harmony will ease the pain
Pray God that it will last
