End Game

By 11th September 2012December 9th, 2019No Comments

The games are done, the gongs are won.
Our spirits, lifted for a while,
Must now confront reality,
Abandoning the fairy tale
We wove in order to forget
Our world of inequality,
Our negative economy,
Our drifting into poverty.
Returning to adversity,
Forced back to where we started from,
The fairy tale will soon become
A recent piece of history
As we resume a different game,
Awaiting yet another bomb.
