In relative obscurity he dwelled
With head in clouds, yet mind beyond the norm
In Physics and in Math he had excelled
A gifted child from moment he was born
At school he did despair to learn by ‘rote’
To think outside the box was more his way
In darkest times, ‘Jack Boots’ began to note
A sign of “Not yet hanged” forced him away
To ‘Uncle Sam’ he offered all he knew
Before “Mein Kampf” could be the final word
A project named ‘Manhattan’ did ensue
Whilst Albert with hindsight was not prepared
For team’s success in splitting Atom’s size
Could save the world yet “Hasten Man’s Demise”:
