“Do Not Barter With Life”

What e’er elite may wish as “way to go”
Monopolising each and every move
‘The People’ seek no more than “quid pro quo”
No need of hoarding wealth, with point to prove
One’s life means so much more, if not for gain
Considering the needs of fellow man
To share and share alike ‘tis more humane
Than self-aggrandisement as part of plan
What profit’s worth the sale of one’s own soul?
Perpetuating poverty at source
Exerting rule by means of mass control
Thru playing God with lives, without remorse
Pray heed ‘His’ forecast, all who shape our fates
Lest each will count true cost at ‘Pearly Gates’
