COMING HOME

OUT OF BRIZE ON A PLANE I FLY
TO SUNNIER CLIMES FOR 4 MONTHS SO I KNEW
THE TRAINING THE LECTURES DID NOT PREPARE
FOR THE HEAT AND THE SUN I DID NOT CARE
THE GUNS THE NOISE AND THE BOYS

NOT ALL FLEW HOME WITH ME THAT DAY
AWAY FROM HELL I PRAYED AND PRAYED
NOW BACK AT HOME WITH FAMILY ROUND
FINDING THE THOUGHTS I HAD LOST NOW FOUND

NOW SPARE A THOUGHT
OR PRAY SOME TIME
2 MINUTES IT’S NOT A CRIME
THOSE BOYS THEY LOST THEIR LIVES FOR YOU
FOR THEM COMING HOME THEY NEVER KNEW.
