Christmas Fayre

Tighten up your floppy belt
Pull in your bulging belly
Go for a walk on Christmas Day
Don’t watch what’s on the telly

Resist the urge to eat some more
Of grandma’s Christmas cake
Or gulping down another beer
You’ll just get belly-ache

That walnut whip will do no good
So don’t you be so hasty
Eating everything in sight
Despite it being tasty

Yes Christmas food is excellent
And there’s no need to diet
But moderation is the key
Even though you want to try it

So don’t be miserable as sin
Eat cake topped with a cherry
Just little bits of this and that
Will make your Christmas merry
