Bond of Honour

by | Jan 14, 2012 | Poetry | 0 comments

The movement of a rustling tree
The gentle lapping of the sea
A favourite song, a much-loved poem
The voice that always speaks of home
The thought of someone truly loved
Those friends who ever prove their worth
Though a sniper may await out there
We all a bond of honour share

The silence of the desert night
The promise of the homeward flight.
