Bed of Roses

See the beautiful green tendrils fall
Clinging to life on the garden wall
Pollen rich in heads of flower bud
As across the skies, darken clouds scud.

Day’s heat so intense now slowly eases
Home pleasures enjoyed so well pleases
Gold nectar sipped by tender lips
Over the Eastern sky, red sun dips.

Soft silken wrap of night encloses,
Day now sleeps on a bed of roses..
