Battle Flag

I am just a battle flag that’s tattered
with too many young men’s blood I’m spattered,
to help their countries foreign policy;
For the politics of diplomacy.
Widows pensions by age twenty five;
kids who don’t know if daddy is alive;
what their lonely future will ever be?
For the politics of diplomacy.
Politicians continue with the game;
enhancing statures is their tawdry aim.
Brave men gave their lives, so they can be free,
for the politics of diplomacy!
I am just a battle flag that’s tattered,
For the politics of diplomacy.
