Autumn

By 5th September 2016December 9th, 2019No Comments

Ploughed fields with furrows straight
muddy tracks leading out of gate
changing colours of leaves on trees
wafting gently on the breeze

longer evenings drawing in.
get out your Flour
and rolling pin

Meat and potato or Apple pies
that make you drool and roll your eyes

Cozy fires to warm us up
Bowls of Stew for us to sup

common sense for young and old
No need to venture out in the cold
Gaze out of the window
and take your ease
See falling leaves drop off the trees.

Read a good book that you choose
or just nod off and have a snooze
