AUTUMN TO WINTER

By 25th August 2015December 9th, 2019No Comments

In seven days or maybe ten
The leaves will start to turn again
Bringing Autumn’s glorious hues
And those impending Winter blues

Some sunshine helps to ease the pain
As Summer pleasures start to wane
Those Autumn skies will turn to grey
And hide the Sun ‘most every day

It won’t be hard to sit and muse
Of warmer climes – an ocean cruise?
Some reverie on sun-kissed beach
Where winter’s cold can never reach

Yes I can dream of such good things
To help ward off what Winter brings
But in the end I know I will
Be forced to face the Winter’s chill
