At War Like This Now

At war like this now,
It’s nothing you’ve ever known.
At war like this now,
There’s some seeds we might have sown.

At war like this now,
You shall tremble with fear.
As you stare at the enemy,
That is really, really near.

At war like this now,
The trenches we dig so deep.
At war like this now,
Quickly with blood they seem to seep.

At war like this now,
I’d rather be at home.
Enjoying the warmth,
And watching the garden gnome.
