Astride a mountain

I sit astride a mountain, my head high in the sky
You are the wind that sings my love until the day I die
I walk the sun-drenched desert, and I thirst for you my love
But you are ever with me, as the blue skies high above.

High as the sand birds soar, in this the never-ending sky
Ever my love for you will soar, until the day I die
Deep as the deepest well on earth, I thirst for you my love
But you are ever with me, as the blue skies high above.

Great waves of the mighty ocean invite the brave to sail
But strength of this my love for you, will never ever pale
In arid dry and desert heat, I thirst for you my love
But you are ever with me under starry skies above.

As there lurks the threat of death, at each and every bend
Courage comes from you my heart, in love messages you send
Longing for desert war to end, I thirst for you my love
To be together soon as one, with blue skies high above
