As shadows fall we pause and reflect
With heads dipped down showing respect
We remember all who have gone before
Those who have served on sea and on shore
With those in our thoughts let them now abide
As if in our presence right here by our side
And those who now serve the oceans to roam
Keep them in our hearts now and bring them safe home
Let all the lost souls alone and bereft
Be safe in our prayers now no longer to drift
As the sun sets and dark shadows fall
