All There Is

Should love alone define a life lived out
An all embracing guide for one’s own heart
A path when walked encompassing no doubt
Or doth existence show ‘tis merely part
In truth some deem as measure of the Man
Achievements made in furtherance of self
With diligence to follow scripted plan
Lest cupids aim employs determined stealth
Impressions sought may stumble at first base
If citing such accomplishments as wrought
Ere patience shown avoids said fall from grace
Intangible this prize which can’t be bought
Presume to seek, for sure you will not find
This gift from God, of rare and unique kind
