A Thousand Roses

I laid a thousand roses every where you walked
on each a piece of my undying heart
all the time I watched the people as they talked
but to me it was just the start

Every time my heart beats it’s you who are
inside my head like a disease
you are the universe but yet still a star
and im waiting for you to feel the same but be my release

Cause of the life I’ve had
I ain’t got much but what I have is yours
and im waiting for you to feel the same but be my release
life never tells you what you got till you lose it

I want you to feel so this pain can cease
needing your very soul in exchange for mine, girl would be it
everywhere you walk
I lay a thousand roses and climb a mountain
whilst all they do is talk
all the time we make love in a fountain

Needing your very soul in exchange for mine, girl would be it
so if you left me one cold time
I would never have this gaping hole
and never again see the people who have felt this rhyme.
