A Political Mistake

Now where have all our young folk gone
In solitude we sing this song
As into deserts torn with war
They soon in thousands quickly pour.

Where then have all our loved ones gone
Not just to conquer evil wrong?
But is this not insanity?
And for some man’s false vanity.

We cry for all our love ones gone
To bow our heads and sing deaths song
For they will die for nothing more
Then one mans chance to even score.

So let us pray for goodness sake
Before devouring great dam breaks
To stop the tide and quell the foam
And bring our stalwart braves back home.
