A chance encounter

Treat me kindly sir
For I’m only passing through
Lay down your rifle
Don’t aim straight and true
I’m sorry if I surprised you
With stealth and silent paws
But lay down your rifle sir
For I’m only passing through.

Treat me kindly sir
A creature of God’s earth
Lay down your rifle
Do not betray your birth
Co-existing in our worth
Let’s respect our right to live
So lay down your rifle sir
A creature of God’s earth.
